Our blog is inspired by The Holy Spirit.
God indeed is my savior;
I am confident and unafraid.
My strength and my courage is the LORD,
and he has been my savior.
With joy you will draw water
at the fountain of salvation.
Give thanks to the LORD, acclaim his name;
among the nations make known his deeds,
proclaim how exalted is his name.
Sing praise to the LORD for his glorious achievement;
let this be known throughout all the earth.
Shout with exultation, O city of Zion,
for great in your midst
is the Holy One of Israel! Emphasis mine Isaiah 12:2-3 4BCD 5-6
Notice the first four lines.
The first line says what we hope all of you believe; God is my savior. The above Psalm was written before Jesus, so how much more does this mean to us now that we are Baptised and have the Holy Spirit infused in our Souls?
For the Jewish people at that time, God was to be found in the Temple. After the Jewish people started worshiping other Gods, even in the Temple, God left the Temple. It wasn’t until the Resurrection of Jesus that God returned to be with His people, but now the Temple is YOUR BODY when you’re Baptized in the Holy Spirit.
You are a living Temple.
Every one of us should be a reflection of God’s Love.
You are unique, and there will never be another temple like you.
When you walk into a church or a Temple, you see stained glass windows, statues, and paintings, all of which are beautiful,
But,
They can’t talk, walk, see, hear or do anything but reflect what the artist was trying to communicate when they created the statue, painting, or stained glass window.
I in no way am demining the church or temple. When I am in the Church, I find Peace.
But,
The building can’t, by itself,
proclaim how exalted is his name.
Sing praise to the LORD for his glorious achievement;
Some will say a great building, St. Peter Bascillia, gives Glory to God because of its beauty, and I would agree. I have been to St. Peters and was in awe at all I witnessed.
But,
I am in greater awe when I see:
A person at a food cupboard who gives their time and talents to help feed the hungry.
When I read or see people going to disaster areas to help, those who have had their lives turned upside down by a natural or man-made disaster.
When I read about people like Jason Brown leaving the NFL and a thirty-six million contract to become a farmer and dedicate his and his family’s life to feeding the hungry.
The men and women who leave the “World” to become Priests and Religious so that we might learn about our loving God.
We could continue this list for a long time. Witnessing the Love of neighbors by so many others in this world moves me to tears of Joy.
Active Love of neighbor, I think, separates the Jews of the Old Testament and those of us in the New Testament. The Jewish people had the same laws we have, Love God and Neighbor, Leviticus 19:18
But,
We have the Holy Spirit so that the laws of God are written in our Hearts and not on paper, and we should,
Sing praise to the LORD for his glorious achievement
“The nine” We pray you will grow in the Love, Joy, and Peace of the Holy Spirit by growing in Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.
Sidebar:
I played golf with Tom Villa, Gail’s cousin, and David Prince, our middle son, at the Toddy Brook Golf course yesterday. I enjoy this course because it has a split personality. The front half has many marshy areas, and losing balls is easy. Weeeee lost three balls. The back nine is HILLY and weeeee lost one ball.
The last time weeeee played this course, weeee had a day like no other day I have had in golf. For those who are into sports, this can happen from time to time and when it does, wow, is all I can say.
I ended that day thanking God for the low score and proclaiming to myself that Weeeeeeeee had a great day.
Well, yesterday, and remember this is being written two weeks in advance, weeeeeeeee did poorly, and I am smiling as we write this because of the change in attitude that has happened in the last year.
By including God in my Golf game, I have become more at Peace and Joy on the bad and the good or great days.
Including God in the writing of our blogs has amazed me. I am amazed every week when we start with a blank computer screen, and when we’re done, we have, what I pray, will be something that has meaning for some of you.
And this is where your comments are so helpful; by taking a few moments to comment, you have no idea how much this helps when we can’t see or hear directly from you.
It amazes me how the words just flow onto the screen. God is working in my life. I Love this ministry, and I thank God for our being asked to write these blogs and you for reading them.

Crystal Mill is located close to Marble, Colorado. It was built in 1892 for the Sheep Mountain Mine and had a turbine that was driven by the waters of the Crystal River. The mill was abandoned when the mine closed in 1917. Therisa Lany 10/4/22
I can’t believe how this picture ties into the title of our blog.
Wow! Therisa sent three beautiful pictures. I can’t wait to share the next two.
Looking at your pictures for me is fun. I see parts of the country, and I think the world soon, from your great photos.
By submitting a picture, you change from an onlooker to a participant. YOU become a part of OUR blog.
Remember, if you want to submit a picture, no people, please, because we have to get permission from that person to use their photograph; in the comments section, tell me you want to submit a picture, and I will send you my email in our reply on Thursday.
BECAUSE I AM ON VACATION, MY REPLY WILL NOT BE ON THURSDAY. I WILL REPLY SOON AFTER WE GET BACK, ON OCTOBER EIGHTEENTH.
