The Holy Spirit inspired our blog.

Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God

The Octave Day of Christmas

Brothers and sisters:

When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son,

born of a woman, born under the law,

to ransom those under the law,

so that we might receive adoption as sons.

As proof that you are sons,

God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts,

crying out, “Abba, Father!”

So you are no longer a slave but a son,

and if a son then also an heir, through God.

Emphasis mine:   Galatians 4:4-7

Wednesday of last week I woke at two am in the morning with The Holy Spirit showing me what today’s blog would be all about.  I, yes , I couldn’t wait to sit down at the keyboard, and with The Holy Spirit and type this blog.

I waited until Monday when we write the first draft, and when I read the reading I celebrated how beautifully it fit in to the whole blog.  I waited until Monday because if it wasn’t The Holy Spirit I would forget what I learned that prior Wednesday night.

St. Paul in Galatians calls us sons, and as sons, we have certain rules you might say we should want to adhere to. If we adhere to these rules, we live with the Father, your Brother, and the Holy Spirit in the “Spirit World.”

This should not surprise you, since as parents, you set up rules for your sons and daughters, that if they didn’t comply there were consequences, (punishments).

God is different.

God allows us to go anywhere we want, and God will wait for us to finally determine that maybe living a life filled with The Holy Spirit is preferable.

As we have stated earlier, Monsignor Henshal said decades ago God is a God of OUTRAGEOUS Love.

But,

Many believe God will punish them if they don’t toe the line, and God determines if we are doing right or wrong.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. Emphasis mine:  Matthew 7: 2

And this was the epiphany I had that Wednesday night, at 2 am.

This completes the circle:

Hell is locked from the inside.

God and Heaven will accept us in our fifthly rages, bad breath, and matted hair, it is I

who says back to God, that I DEMAND Purgatory.

And

  Our MEASURE is God’s MEASURE.

The above three statements confirmed my thinking that God IS a God of OUTREAGEOUS love, which makes me want to be more like them in every way.

That’s our choice.

Do the will of God our Father, by imitating His son, our Brother, and accept The Holy Spirit into our Body, souls, and Mind, by doing the WILL of God our Father, by imitating His son, in living in The Holy Spirit, throwing out satan, and all that satan brings into my life including indifference, and everything else satan brings into our life.

Since it’s the first of the year may we suggest the prayers we have discussed over the past three years, and just maybe you will try saying these prayers and you will experience a big difference in your life.

For the men of the Cumberland County Jail who took our advice, they ALL experienced a new me, and loved it.

Prayers: (The prayers we are asking you to learn are in BOLD Print)

The Fruit of The Holy Spirit:

You grow in LOVE, JOY, AND PEACE by growing in PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GENEROSITY, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, SELF-CONTROL. Learn these nine words in order and say them daily, and you will see a difference in your life.

Stop satan’s attacks by praying:

Get behind me, satan, and next say, Come Holy Spirit, and fill me with your love, Joy, and Peace

If you have a difficulty, and we all have, start by praying,

I thank You, Father, for the Death of  Your Son, the Nails that were driven through His Hands, and the Nail that was driven through His Feet (Once). Now you can answer YES to the question If you Thank me for the Death of My Son, the Nails that were driven through His Hands, and for the Nail that was driven through His Feet, then I want you to thank me for:

ALLOWING the DIFFICULTY of …(name the difficulty)….. I have Faith You will take care of me.” Say the prayer until you smile. satan can’t smile.

Start each day:

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.”

Three Prayers to grow your relationship with God:

  • “Weeeeeeee,”  say this prayer every time you and God interact. For example, Weeeeee made a great meal, Weeeeeee played a good game of …, Weeeeeeeee didn’t handle this very well, etc.
  • “Thank you, Father;” say this all day, every day, for all the Father is doing in your life.  If something really good happens, say this multiple times with enthusiasm.  When I was told my Basel Cell had disappeared, I said the Thank You prayer at least fifty times as I walked out of the doctor’s office, pumping my fist into the air.
  • “I’m Fantastic.” Anytime anyone asks how you are, tell them you’re Fantastic. We believe you are who you say you are. You have every reason to be Fantastic and no reason not to be. If you can’t think of a reason to be Fantastic, thank God for the difficulty, and God will provide you with the reasons why you are Fantastic.

Sidebar:

Since this is the start of a new year, The Holy Spirit also suggested a song, prayer, you might like to learn to help keep satan at bay.

Background:  As I have stated in earlier blogs, I sung in the Choir for years, and never heard of this song.  Before Dick Brennon died, he specified that this song be sung. I instantly fell in love with it, and haven’t stopped singing it and playing it on the Guitar.

The background of the song, I just learned when reading On This Day by Robert J. Morgan, and we will summarize the story.

In  1873, Horato G. Spafford took his wife and children to New York, because of the Chicago fire, put them on a luxury liner headed for France, and kissed them goodbye.

One night at sea the liner collided with an iron sailing vessel and sank killing 226 people including Spafford’s children, his wife was saved.

Spafford immediately booked passage to England, and when they approached the location where the ship sank, the Captin called Spafford and told him this was where his children were killed.

Spafford went back to his cabin and said to himself “It is well; the will of God be done.” He later wrote the famous Hymn, It Is well with my soul.

To hear the song: Go to YouTube, type in the search bar It is well with my soul scroll down until you see a scene of woods and water. The time of the video is 5:09.  Enjoy!

                    Em                           A               D

The   clouds   be   rolled   back   as   a   scroll

           G                       C                             A                  D

The   trump   shall   resound    and   the   Lord   shall   descend

           G                 C       D              G

Even   so  –  it   is   well   with   my   soul

Chorus

We pray you will learn and sing the chorus as a reminder, that it is well with your soul.

Gail and I extend a prayer that 2025 will be a year filled with Love, Joy, and Peace along with great health, and you will say, “I’m Fantastic!”
