Wednesday, December 4, They placed them at his feet, and he cured them.

The Holy Spirit inspired our blog.

Wednesday of the First Week of Advent

At that time:

Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee,

went up on the mountain, and sat down there.

Great crowds came to him,

having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute,

and many others.

They placed them at his feet, and he cured them.

The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking,

the deformed made whole,

the lame walking,

and the blind able to see,

and they glorified the God of Israel.

Jesus summoned his disciples and said,

“My heart is moved with pity for the crowd,

for they have been with me now for three days

and have nothing to eat.

I do not want to send them away hungry,

for fear they may collapse on the way.”

The disciples said to him,

“Where could we ever get enough bread in this deserted place

to satisfy such a crowd?”

Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?”

“Seven,” they replied, “and a few fish.”

He ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground.

Then he took the seven loaves and the fish,

gave thanks, broke the loaves,

and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.

They all ate and were satisfied.

They picked up the fragments left over–seven baskets full.

Yesterday, we met with Steve as we do most Wednesdays, and the conversation centered after a while on the prayer, “Thank you, Father, for the DIFFICULTY of …………. I have Faith You will take care of me.”

Like most, Steve is not as strong a believer in this prayer as I had hoped he would be. Five days later, The Holy Spirit, I realized that this was because he was twenty-plus years younger than I am. The Holy Spirit, I have been saying this prayer that much longer and seeing positive results, which has made me a strong advocate for the prayer.

It takes time.

Interestingly, the discussion started when I first read Prison to Praise by Merlin Crothers (The Holy Spirit), which sold over nineteen million copies. I mention Prison to Praise’s sales because millions have read it and experienced healings of all types, which Merlin documented in his book.

We explained to Steve once again the genesis of this prayer.

God talked to Merlin and asked Merlin.

Do YOU:

These two words jumped out at me, and I quickly realized (The Holy Spirit) that I had failed to communicate how this prayer should be said.

God said to Merlin:

Do you Thank Me for:

“The Death of my Son?”

Merlin said Yes. I, when’ I read the book, and I believe most of you now, would say No.

“Do you thank me for the nails driven into His Hands?”

Merlin said yes, and I said No, and I am sure most of you are also saying No.

Next, God asked, “Do you thank me for the Nail that was driven into His Feet?”

Merlin said Yes, and I said, “No,” as I am also sure most of you are responding now.

(Please don’t say, as many of the men in The Cumberland County Jail have said, “I say something like this. These are specific questions and demand a specific answer.)

God then said, “IF YOU and most of you don’t, thank Me for the Death of my Son, the Nails that were driven into His Hands, and the Nail that was driven into His Feet; I want you to thank me for the DIFFICULTIES I Allow in your life.”

We next asked Steve if he prayed the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary.  Steve didn’t; I did.

“The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery – The Crucifixion and Death of  Jesus.  Jesus”https://rosarycenter.org

But,

Until I read Merlin’s book, I said, “The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery – Jesus is Crucified.”

That’s it.

After reading Merlin’s book, I changed the start of the Fifth Sorrowful Mystery to: “The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery, – “I thank You, Father, for sending Your Son to Be crucified; I thank You for the Nails that were driven through His Hands, I thank You, for the Nail that was driven through His Feet, I know you took care of Him because You HAVE taken care of me, I have Faith You ARE taking care of me, and I have Faith you WILL  take care of me, and sadly I’m a sinner.   Because of His Life, Death, and Resurrection, I believe all men and women might go to Heaven.”

I have a small gripe with the Church. The most important event in Jesus’s life was His Crucifixion, and I prayed before reading Merlin’s book, “The Fifth Station—Jesus is Crucified.” That’s it!

Since Steve and many of you don’t thank God the Father for the death of His Son, the Nails driven into His Hands, and Nail driven into His Feet, I now believe you are removing part of the power of this prayer.

Not your fault, Mine.  I am so sorry.

Last Wednesday night, The words “Do YOU” changed everything in my life. I now thank my Father for sending my Brother to Be crucified, the nails in His Hands and Feet, but now I am doing this as a Conscious Competent, and for me, that’s huge.

Remember, a Conscious Competent knows what they’re doing and, most importantly, why they are doing it.

We are saying this prayer, Thanking God the Father for the DIFFICULTY to resolve the DIFFICULTY.

But,

You have to set up the prayer by first thanking God the Father for the Death of His Son and the Nails that were driven into His Hands and Feet.

That was a DIFFICULITY!

I also discovered in the Jail Ministry that you say the prayer until you smile, which indicates that The Holy Spirit is back in your life.

I  became more of a Conscious Competent when I realized They want a RELATIONSHIP, and our God is a God of OUTRAGEOUS LOVE.

They want their brother and sister, you, HEALED!

Name any other god who offers sinners, every religion has sinners, all that our God offers us.

YOU CAN’T!

And if you spend a minute contemplating all that God has done for you, the chance you have to TOUCH God every day by receiving the Eucharist, joining in a Cosmic Dance with them, then how can you be anything but

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

I thanked Steve for being there and apologized that I think I got more out of the meeting than he did.  The Holy Spirit indicated we would write about our meeting in our next Blog on 12/4/24, today, 11/21/24, not knowing the Gospel reading would be about Jesus curing all who came before Him.  I thought it would be in the sidebar. Wrong!

Wow!

Talk about God working in my, and I pray, your life.

Our suggestion is to pray daily:

I thank You, Father, for the Death of Your Son, the Nails that were driven through His Hands, and  for the Nail that was driven through His Feet;

You have now answered the question, Do You?

And the answer is YES!

Then, when you have a DIFFICULTY, just as Jesus had on His Cross. pray:

I thank You, Father, for the death of Your Son, the Nails that were driven through His Hands, and for the Nail that was driven through His Feet (Once).

Thank You, Father, for the DIFFICULTY of …(name the difficulty)….. I have Faith You will take care of me.” Say this part of the prayer until you smile.

In past Blogs, we have reported many healings I have had, and frankly, I am a bit embarrassed because many of you haven’t had the same results. My life changed at a Baptist meeting when a woman said she had been healed.

I now think I understand why we told you of my healings.

Your Father and Brother want you healed!

satan doesn’t!

Throw satan out—“Get behind me, satan.” “Come, Holy Spirit. ” Learn and try this powerful prayer. Nineteen million people testify to the power of this prayer.

Also, remember, today’s blog was about two words: “DO YOU.”

We were finished until I read a comment from a reader of the prior week’s Blog.  The comment was:

I like what you wrote today, but I believe God doesn’t heal all people physically for a reason. I do believe He heals ALL people spiritually.

satan!

He came to his native place and taught the people in their synagogue. They were astonished and said, “Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds?  Is he not the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother named Mary and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Are not his sisters all with us? Where did this man get all this?” And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house.” And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith.

Emphasis mine Mt 13:54-58

Most of the people Jesus Healed went out and told others.  You’re healed to spread the good news!

All healings are unique.  Some I have had instantly, and some I have prayed for years to have.  All have been answered.  For those who know me, my arthritis causes me NO Pain as it did fifty-four years ago.  I still take Tylenol, 1,500 mg a day – but no pain, and that, for me, is healing.

Yes, we also want to be sure you know the healing occurred because the doctor had a great day, and the prescription worked.  The healings I enjoy the most are when God does them directly.

Never forget that not every procedure or diagnosis is successful or correct, and not every medication works, but that can change if you have God on your side.

My advice to anyone who doubts God’s healing power – leave Nazareth.

We are going to skip the Sidebar this week.

Prayer:

I thank You, Father, for the death of Your Son, the Nails that were driven through His Hands, and for the Nail that was driven through His Feet (Once).

Next, pray,

Thank You, Father, for the DIFFICULTY of …(name the difficulty)….. I have Faith You will take care of me.” Say this part of the prayer until you smile.
