You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do

I am. You are. We all are.

….. thinking as human beings. Worrying about what will be the mishap, confused about which brand of food item to purchase, how to budget till the next pay cheque, stressing about the confusion at work or a bad outcome of a project, a traffic jam causing delay or some travel plans!

We think like us! We dont worry about forgiving someone who wronged us would probably find more faults to make them less likeable and rationalise the entire situation. We have no premonition of being crucified and rising from dead but we often live like we are immortal!

While today, Jesus is handing the authority to St Peter, he also dismissed his genuinely human reaction of disbelief as a temptation from Satan. Often when in our little faith, we miss the transubstantiation and the joy of accepting the bread and blood of Christ during mass, the joy of reading scripture or the time we have to scroll social media or gossip instead of focusing on our relationship with God in our daily life! We dismiss the miracles of everyday and it takes a near death experience to remember how finite we are and the journey to eternal life is our ultimate goal!!

Today as St Peter looked at Jesus in disbelief that He would die for us, let us believe it and accept it as a symbol of the undying love of God for us His children and praise and thank Him , for everything He does! Often when we cannot understand His plan let us have some faith that it all will work out according to plan and not be lead to temptation!

PRAYER

Dear Lord, I surrender my faith unto you to believe you are my God and I am mere human! Help and guide me to live every day on earth with faith in your love, mercy and bless us with all that we deserve!

AMEN.

  1. Sometimes our human inclinations, tend to over shadow the spirit of God. At that point,we need a sentry to remind us who we are really.
