For if you had believed Moses,
you would have believed me,
because he wrote about me.
But if you do not believe his writings,
how will you believe my words?”

I believe Moses. Right from his very movie- esque birth story to the fact that he could part the red sea and make a way … as a child I was gifted a picture Bible with images of all stories and after re reading them multiple times — those images are etched into my memory and I can see that illustration as I type.

I believed in Moses , his writings, the tablets with commandments etched in stone he carried up the mountain as he declared them! I still believe in the 10 commandments and whenever I decide to go for a confession – sit through them for a good review of my conscience!

In todays Gospel , God doesnt literally mean the belief in the commandments but talks about how skeptical we are about alot of the prophets and the word of God ! Often in our day to day lives we act judgmental and refuse to believe the word of God that we can read through the Bible and as we pass through Lent , it is the very core of maintaining our faith through fasting from worldly pleasures.

Let us sit through these commandments on a daily basis and revise and review our daily faith fulness and figure how much we believe in the word of God and push ourselves to be better Christians.

AMEN
