As we come to the end of another year, I always am excited to plan for the new year — purchasing a planner, making a list of goals, plan how this new year would be better or bigger than my previous one in all aspects of life, and as the year goes by, either the plans fade away or I cant keep up or the entire list appears way too daunting and unrealistic and I never complete much and by the end of the year, I have resorted to making a new list

Todays Gospel mentions about Anna , the prophetess, who sat through in the church, night and day waiting for the child !!!! That is a commitment of a lifetime which brings me to review my commitment to the Lord which seems to perk at every Christmas and Easter, and die away during rest of the year. So this year as I sit here typing, I am making a commitment to focus on my faith to the Lord, to know Him better and to learn better.

I lost my grandmother last Thursday. Being the only grandparent I ever knew as a child, I absolutely love her. My childhood is filled with memories of her – the food, home, the ever loving hugs and snacks, the fact that she was a midwife and was so proud of her OBGYN granddaughter! I will always have a special place in my heart for my Avozinha! But as I watcher her being lowered in the burial ground, I was struck by the fact of how finite our life is and no one is immortal!!!

For all that is in the world,
sensual lust, enticement for the eyes, and a pretentious life,
is not from the Father but is from the world.
Yet the world and its enticement are passing away.
But whoever does the will of God remains forever.

So for this new year , I decided on just 1 resolution — to do the will of God everyday! in my words, thoughts and deeds .. to people in my family, friends or those I do not like!!!

PRAYER:

Thank you Lord, for a wonderful year, you have blessed my family, loved ones and me with good health, strength and spirit. Forgive me for all my sinfulness and guide me to be a better version of myself everyday!

Bless everyone who reads this website with good health, courage and a faith filled new year 2022!

AMEN.
