“Stand up and go, your faith has saved you!”

As a doctor ,especially in India, words like thank you and please are extremely rare from patients. While they maybe rude and uncouth especially when we can’t do much in areas like oncology, I am still struggling to empathize with patients thanks to language issues.

However in India, we thank a different way, we give gifts of something precious to us- like maybe fruits , fish, cake, flowers or they help us out when we need their help at their workplaces.

While all American readers will be celebrating thanksgiving with their families for rest of us we will thanking God for a daily routine.

Thankfulness is so scarce and often I forget to do it myself . This advent all I want to focus on being thankful to God and everyone around me for simple stuff like food and clothing and time.

May you hose to be thankful everyday for being in this faith and having a loving forgiving almighty lord.

Amen
