Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son,
and you shall name him John.
And you will have joy and gladness,
and many will rejoice at his birth,
for he will be great in the sight of the Lord.
He will drink neither wine nor strong drink.
He will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb,
and he will turn many of the children of Israel
to the Lord their God.
He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah
to turn the hearts of fathers toward children
and the disobedient to the understanding of the righteous,
to prepare a people fit for the Lord.”

wow !!! God has already planned out St John the Baptists entire life out – from his diet to what his name and purpose would be! This seems more like my new year resolution lists !

When I plan out my day, I dont take into account what could go wrong and the delay in time I could anticipate and hence often my lists never get complete! But God – he planned out each our lives , names, families ( I lucked out) and of course He does give us freedom of choice and decision – so St John the Baptist could’ve easily said let me eat wine and have a merry time – why do I have to stroll in the forests ?! cause however much we try , we end up back on track with Gods plan and following His will is what happens to be the best decision of our lives

This Christmas I miss alot about my home, my pet , my grandmother, my old self and of course alot of people who I might not be able to meet in the limited time I have at home off work! but I am looking forward to the happiness and cheer of this season which makes me so happy!

While I always love birthdays , Jesus has a perfect one at the end of the year. L:ike God decided the plan for it all in advance – its time for us to plan our faith and relationship with God and people we are with for the year to come!

AMEN

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
