And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age

I am typing this with a heavy and conflicted heart! This week, my new state woke up to news of the brutal assault and murder of a doctor by a convict patient who was brought in for a medical examination! While the entire country wide threw protests and we sat on the road in front of the state government office shouting for safety of doctors at workplace, it dawned on my me – nothing and no one is safe! and this statement from todays reading made me realise I have just one refuge!

Often when overwhelmed with wordly issues and I have to drive across the city to get to Church on sundays, I wonder if it is all worth it – it is! The peace of listening to the word and the fact that I can receive the Lord and thank Him for the week and everyone I encountered – lets me realise how much of effort is needed in this relationship with the lord!

Despite all our woes and daily work schedules, focus on our relationship with God is a major part! Lord does say He is around but I as of now seem to forget it unless I am in trouble.

PRAYER

Help me lord to revel in your love and feel your presence in my prayer!

Amen

  1. I am soooo sorry you are having this heartache! I know the dear Lord is holding you tightly in the palm of His hand.

  2. Hang in there my dear. Prayers and good thoughts need to guide you through a chaotic world. Peace with you my sister.

  3. Your words “I have just one refuge” spoke volumes to me this morning. Here in the USA we are experiencing so many acts of violence in many once safe places that it causes one to be afraid to leave one’s home. Yet we must trust in the Lord to care for us and our loved ones. He is our only refuge. I pray for your safety in your workplace.

  4. The Lord is our strength and our joy (Ps. 118). Our Christian communities and their people must support each other in times like these. May God go with you and give you peace sister.

  5. I’m so sorry to hear about there death of that doctor. I know there Lord never wants bad things to happen but He does allow it. In many ways this keeps us close to him, depending on his mercy and protection. The Lord is on my side. I shall not fear what man can do unto me.

  6. Dear Analise, be not afraid. Let not your heart be troubled, for the Lord our God is near. For all the sadness and fear we face daily, He is never apart from us. Continue to make that drive to church, keep praying for He is with you. God bless you.

  7. Oh Analise! God be with you and your fellow Dr aka healers. May you have the protection of your Guardian Angels. In our family we are right now bombarded with illness. As old age often brings. As a caregiver for my husband and a retired nurse I often beat myself up for not being able to heal my husband. I am not God! But I am his Ambassador with the help of the Holy Spirit. And I and we must remember that the Lord is with us ALWAYS until the end of the age. Not easy but as we carry our crosses, we know Who and What awaits us! Come Holy Spirit Come!🙌🙌

  8. Annalise, I am so sorry for your loss and the fear this has caused you but I thank you for your honesty and for your selfless vocation. These acts of violence throughout our world make me realize all the more how we need to spread God’s word especially to those who live in fear in their country, community, workplace, homes… and for those contemplating violence. The Lord is our refuge and our Light. God bless.

  10. Matthew 28:17-20 The great commission has always been a comfort to me. “I will be with you always” Always means good times and bad. “even to the end of the age”. My continued prays for both you and your colleagues.
