I am the living bread that came down from heaven;
whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give
is my Flesh for the life of the world.

We all have a rhythm of body mechanism according to time of day — circadian rhythm. As it approaches 1 pm, My tummy will growl and fight for a meal… usually I pack a sandwich for lunch , with maybe a fruit.

My soul also feels hungry when I abstain from prayer …I feel hungry for the Lord. Often I get so overwhelmed with my daily routine I find no time to sit and pray and think about the Lord…. keeping me hungry and yearning for the Lord.

After Lent, I had so much to catch up on at work and even was ill with a stomach bug, making me find no much time for relaxation and prayer! And my soul is starved for the bread of Life and I need to ensure I can find time or make time for the Lord.

I hope we all have our soul hungry for the Lords bread and ensure we pray and focus on being better Christians on a daily basis… with time for scripture or rosary or like me, close my eyes while an app plays a recorded version f reflection of the reading so can listen to the Holy word.

AMEN
