For the days are coming upon you
when your enemies will raise a palisade against you;
they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides.
They will smash you to the ground and your children within you,
and they will not leave one stone upon another within you
because you did not recognize the time of your visitation
.

Of course, we do not recognize the time of visitation! We were so busy scrolling through our phones watching what someone posted on instagram or facebook (meta) or streaming netflix for the latest shows, we never had time to look up and notice the visitation!!!

We are so engrossed in our own lives and work that we have no time to stop and look at anyone around! I have been through this these few days, while my father was ill and I was shuffling through managing him and attending the two new jobs, I felt so overwhelmed , I did not take time to say a prayer or join in the family rosary! I did pray when I was alone in the silence watching my father in pain! Wondering why did I stop my prayer schedule!

As was decided by the Lord, my dad has been diagnosed with colon cancer at an early stage but nevertheless , came out as a jolt to my entire family near and extended. While every one known gave their opinion and free advice to my mother, I have browsed through all my contacts and found a dear friend and senior who could guide my dad and me through the appropriate treatment but in another state! So while you read this I will be waiting in line to show dad at the oncologist best at it.

Let us not ignore the presence of the Lord in our daily lives , that we need such a bold wake up call to remind us that we need to pay attention to Him being around us every day every moment! Let us keep ourselves in tune with His orders and hope for a life of fulfillment and grace!

P.S. Kindly keep my dad and our family in your prayers as we go through the process of this malignancy! we need the strenghth!

PRAYER!

Dearest Lord, I thank you for the lovely and healthy life we all have lived through, I ask you to help us accept your will and enable my papa and everyone who suffers from cancer of any stage and organ to submit their health and will into your hands and pray for the best outcome! Bless all the doctors, nurses, paramedical staff who deal with such patients with immense empathy and patience and proceed in faith with you!

AMEN.
