Behold, this child is destined
for the fall and rise of many in Israel,
and to be a sign that will be contradicted
and you yourself a sword will pierce
so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

Wow. Imagine being told this about your child?! Worrisome and stressful, I know my parents would not let me step outside home unless they were next to me to protect me! I am not a parent so I do not understand how it feels but sure is stressful!!

Being a parent is watching your heart run around outside your body and control is what I was told! I agree. Imagine being the simple Mary and Joseph not knowing what exactly their son would be doing and just having endless faith in the Lord just how they accepted the birth and his life ahead!!

Today let us have that much unconditional faith in God for our own lives and hope for the best as He planned!!!

PRAYER:

I ask you Lord to direct me where I should be going and teach me to do better everyday in prayer to achieve that faith!

AMEN

  1. Thank you Analise. It is difficult being a parent at times. We just have to put our trust in the Lord that everything will turn out OK.

  2. Thank you Analise. Our lady of sorrows endured the worst a parent could imagine. Along the way she was told what would happen to her son and with a faithful loving heart she nurtured and raised him. Lord give us the strength to march on with the faith, hope and love that will bring that sorrow to the victory of the cross. Peace my sister.

  3. Parenting is such a mixed bag of emotions… and now I watch as my daughter parents her young son, a child that was said couldn’t happen ( ha! God knew better!) I see her cry over the pure joy of watching him grow. And I see love in its purest form. A child. Thank you Father for the gifts of your love. My cup runneth over.
