For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world might be saved through him

Yes , like every parent I know, wants to teach their child a lesson about life and good and bad … they never punish their child with intent of condemnation or accusation but to evaluate how their mistake could be rectified in future!

Of course, some days God does more parenting than others but like children, we have faith that parents still love us! Even after numerous arguements and fights, I know my mom will cook my favourite meal and feed me with her very own hands as I return home!

God is like a parent to all so much love and forgiveness he even gave his beloved son to us! He loves us so much! and yet repeatedly we hurt and disobey the Lords orders!

Rather, he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
coming in human likeness;
and found human in appearance,
he humbled himself,
becoming obedient to death,
even death on a cross.

and Jesus leads us all by example for being the ideal son / daughter who becomes human – humble and obedient to his Mother and His purpose! While this weekend I had time to clear the clutter in my home and my prayer life I realised I need to focus on my purpose of being a doctor more than ever!

Let us all look upto the cross like the people on the first reading today with faith that we may be cured of our afflictions and issues! Praise the Lord for his Grace and mercy!

AMEN

  1. Thanks Analise for reminding us that we are all God’s children and that we need to look up to him with faith especially during times in our lives that are difficult. He is our loving father in heaven.

  2. Thank you for the analogy of and parents correcting their child, with God correcting us in love with a purpose of helping us grow.

  3. Thank you Analise. We Carry our crosses through life in different ways. Some with sin, suffering and afflictions. By looking up to the cross and asking forgiveness we are cleansed and in God’s good graces. Hail the Holy Cross! Peace with you my sister.

  4. Thank you Dr. Analise. Lift high the cross! I, like you, am blessed to still have my “earthly” mother alive and well and she is the only earthly person that has loved me my whole life. Its comforting to know my heavenly Father loves me more than my mom.

  5. I too was blessed with parents who loved me unconditionally and thus made it easy for me to see our loving God through them. There are parents out there who don’t treat their children with unconditional love. I can only guess that it’s often hard for these children of God to believe in a loving Father. I’m just in awe of those of you who believe in our Lord despite having earthly parent(s) who didn’t or couldn’t give you the parent/child love that was meant to be. Your faith has made you whole.

  6. Nice analogy regarding our earthly parents and heavenly parent.
If our earthly parents can be so caring and giving — our heavenly parent is infinitely more so. God bless you for your writings
