Méz-termékfotózás

I took the small scroll from the angel’s and swallowed it in by mouth it was like sweet honey

My Dad was a salesman. He was not just a salesman he was the consummate salesman. He would meet you and your family and never see you for 10 years and remember your name and all the members of your family. It wasn’t his memory. It was his personality. Long after my dad died people would speak to me about what a charming man he was. He was memorable but most important he was genuine. The metaphor that honey wouldn’t melt in his mouth had my father in mind. My dad was honest, genuine and charming. He had his flaws but was a good man.

How sweet to my taste is your promise. It isn’t often that we can understand the mind of God but these qualities of honest, genuine and charming are the qualities of Jesus. We as souls, made in God’s image, have these same qualities.

How do we encourage these qualities in ourselves?

My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.

We have bake sales at Church and sell this and that. However, the profits go to God’s purpose and not ours. Jesus saw that the sellers in the market place outside of temple we not in it for God, but for themselves. Jesus knows our honest motives to serve Him are not for profit but for the Glory of God. When I take on a project at Church, I always ask myself if this is God’s choice or mine. We not only have to be honest in our business dealings but in our motives.

We also have to be genuine in our motives. The chief priests, the scribes and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words. We not only have to be honest in our relationship to others we have to be genuine. We cannot say we are pro-life and not show mercy to others such as the homeless.

I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and swallowed it. In my mouth it was like sweet honey,, but when I had eaten it , my stomach turned sour. Then someone said to me, “You must prophesy again about many people, nations, tongues and kings.”

It may be strange to think of God as charming. However, it is not so far fetched. When you think for a moment we have examples of recent history of charming messengers of God’s word. Went I was a child we had Bishop Fulton Sheen on the invention of the television. Without a doubt Bishop Sheen spread God’s message to a world in need of healing. ” U-tube has his old black and white shows. He changed a nation.

During your day today try to emulate scripture to be more honest, genuine and charming to spread the Gospel today in your dealings with others. Gods message is just as relevant today as it was in Jesus. We have a world around us in need of His healing message. These words are sweet as honey. The qualities of God are in your DNA because we are made in His image. Even with social distancing that message can be spread.

God Love You Always
