Sunday my wife daughter and two grand children went to see the “Nutcracker”. In Florida we had never seen a performance of the Nutcracker as professional and well done as the Tulsa Ballet. The dancers were magnificent. Everyone was dressed up and had a great time.
Earlier this week a group from Church helped someone move. One of the group who helped the family move was a semi retired doctor who was familiar with the dancers. He read the x-ray’s of some of the performers feet and legs and knew that the performers were athletes with heart and desire and passion for their art.
This performances do not happen without leadership. The question of who do you follow as a leader in Isiaha , the Psalm and the Gospel of Matthew for today is the same. In Psalm 1 it says, Blessed the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked nor walks in the way of sinners. nor sits in the company on the insolent, But delight in the law of the lord.
At work and in the family leaders are need. We get our direction from leaders in the family. The priest might give the most awe inspiring homily but if the message is not followed at home in may fall on rocky ground.
Good example in life begins with the little things. Yes, yes we are all sinners. The point is we don’t have to do the same things again. Jesus still wants to bless us and know we are His children. Jesus loves us even though we do not lead. His door is always open and He expects us to lead others.
Wisdom is vindicated by her works. Lead on!
God Bless you always
