John performed no sign, but everything John said about this man was true

Surprise! Sunday is Palm Sunday!

Not sure about you but I have had a good Lenten celebration. My Lenten sacrifice was to stop grumbling as much. No, I did not completely stop grumbling, but I have seriously lessened the opportunities. I feel free and the burden of fixing everything in the world and my life has lifted. Jeremiah says in our first reading the Lord is with me , like a mighty champion. There is much I don’t understand, but somehow I know the Lord is with me.

My wife, Anna, and daughter, Emily, are in feverish preparation also. They are planning the cooking and food menu for Easter Sunday. My grandson, Tommy, who is sleeping on our couch for a visit and I will stay out of it and follow instructions.

If we, as believers, have had a good season of Lent, we will have followed signs that Jesus has put before us. Signs that will improve our physical and spiritual lives. What we gave up or on a positive basis what we did for others is a sign from Jesus that have helped us grow as human beings. If we have failed. No worries! There is still time. Time to grow and see the signs of Jesus in our lives. We have Holy Week. We have Easter Sunday.

I work part time a grocery store in Tulsa. I enjoy talking to people. All kinds of people. I work less than 25 hours per week and it helps me fill my days. It is so obvious when a person is having a good day or a bad day. I try to make them happy but just like Jesus in our Gospel, I am not always successful. We are not stoning you for a good work but for blasphemy. Still Jesus did not stop teaching because of the rejection of others and so must we. Many came to Him.

That is the point of today’s message. We still keep on living the life that Jesus wants us to live. We may be rejected by others . We may not do all that we are supposed to do but there is always today and tomorrow to change.

One of my co-workers just died. His name was John. He was only sick for a month. He was not aware of his illness and he died quickly. Unlike John, we the living have hope and time to touch others and do the will of God in our lives

God Love You Always

You stated “I’ll stay out of it and follow instructions “.
I wonder if that’s the right way to go about it.
A lot has been put on my plate over the years and even more this week.
I’ve been doing as you are – following instructions. What’s the old cliché – a happy life is a happy wife….
Well, there is much I’m not happy about. The best I know to do is bite my lip, keep my mouth shut, and offer each day up to God – my prayers, work, joys, sufferings, and sorrows.
I must say, I’ve been reading the daily Gospels and reflections here at ACM for6 years or so and it has been helpful.
I miss Joe Lacome, Steven Marsh, and other writers who have come and gone.
I do appreciate you and all the writer’s time and effort.
God bless and may the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace and peace, comfort and healing for those who morn.
