Friday, 4-7-17 Surrendering to the Holy Trinity

This week there has been one primary message in our readings – God is God and he loves us beyond all measure! He has been crying out to us, hoping that we will hear him. He hears our pain, he knows our cries, and he understands our needs. Many have turned to him, yet sadly, many like the Jews in today’s Gospel, have not. Even worse, some have turned against him in attack. They do not know that Jesus Christ came and freed mankind from the bondage of sin and death.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. – Romans 8:2 (NRSVCE)

God has made it clear in this week’s readings that he not only is God, but that Jesus Christ is his Son. Jesus in turn came and revealed to us the great love the Father has for all of mankind. To see Jesus is to see the Father.

Well, this week I spend considerable time in Adoration meditating, contemplating and simply being present with the Holy Trinity – which I believe is the point of the readings this week. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit want to enjoy a rich relationship with us. Well my friends, I have received many spiritual blessings as a result of the time I have spent with the Holy Trinity. And given this today’s reflection is short – if you can believe I can even write a short reflection!

Instead of reflecting on my words I invite you to join me in meditation, reflection and contemplation – especially as we enter into Holy Week. Such actions will change your life and your heart – they have changed mine significantly this Lenten Season. I took time to pull together my meditation and contemplation tools on my website on a page titled Fasting of the Mind – here is the link: Fasting of the Mind

If you find a particular meditation or contemplation helpful please leave a comment for me on it’s page so we can connect at the heart. Many blessings to you my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ – have mercy on us.

Father God – consume us.

Holy Spirit – enter in to us.

Mother Mary – pray for us.

The Nine Faces of Struggle

Sometimes we will become “stuck”, not knowing how to escape from pain and heartache. As human beings we walk around in a world filled with emotions that run counter to love. Over my years of practice I have identified what I call the “Nine Faces of Struggle”. These are common blocks I have witnessed that serve to separate individuals from the healing balm of love. Here is the link if you would like to learn more: The Nine Faces of Struggle

I hope you find your way home towards the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ – the one who is love himself. May you speak and think words of love, forgiveness and mercy as you sing and praise of God’s glory! – Carolyn
