And yet ours were the sufferings he bore, ours the sorrows he carried. But we, we thought of him as someone punished, struck by God, and brought low. Yet he was pierced through for our faults, crushed for our sins. On him lies a punishment that brings us peace, and through his wounds we are healed.
One of my customers at the Deli I work at last week was multi-tasking. The customer was talking on her cell phone as I approached her. I apologized because I didn’t see her cell phone attached to her ear. She said it was okay and okay, some of our chicken salad and a few other things. She was talking all the time. Now I gave her the other items and the chicken salad. She walked away and I noticed the chicken salad she wanted for a luncheon on the counter. So, my boss and I scoured the store to find her and we finally found her and gave her the chicken salad. She was still on the phone. She thanked me and said that she was in the middle of a Bible study. It doesn’t seem that she was doing anything well. She wasn’t consintratng on shopping, Bible study and obviously not getting anything done completely.
My wife, Anna, always tells me that I am not good at multi-tasking. Evidently, this lady was not that good either. My point on this Good Friday is not to give you tips on multi-tasking but to concentrate on one thing and not go in many directions at once. The Devil, tariffs, politics, illness, money troubles will still be there tomorrow, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Today, I am focused on the Sacrifice of Jesus dying for me. He gave it all and I am so grateful. Nonetheless, I will sin again and drive another nail into His Cross. Still Jesus gave His life for me, an undeserving sinner. His only Focus was His love for me. He did it for you as well.
Thank you Jesus!
God Love You Always
